What is the N’DIGO Foundation?
The N’DIGO Foundation, a (501c3) not-for-profit entity, was founded in 1995 by Hermene D. Hartman, publisher of N’DIGO Magapaper.
Since 1995, the N’DIGO Foundation has rewarded excellence in education by presenting merit-based college scholarships to talented high school and college students in the Chicagoland area. To date, we have awarded more than 200 scholarships.
What is the N’DIGO Foundation Gala?
Each year, the N’DIGO Foundation sponsors the N’DIGO Foundation Gala awards ceremony and scholarship fundraiser is an elegant, star-studded, black-tie event to benefit the N’DIGO scholars. The Awards Ceremony pays tribute to trailblazers in the disciplines of art, politics, education, religion, and business.
What happens at N’DIGO Foundation Gala?
The N’DIGO Foundation Gala-held at Chicago’s most prestigious and esteemed cultural institutions, including The Civic Opera House—brings together business, political, artistic and community leaders for a memorable night that includes a VIP reception with a grande buffet and libations, a scholarship and trailblazer awards program, a star studded concert featuring Ledisi, and a VIP-post celebration.
When is the 2008 N’DIGO Foundation Gala?
The N’DIGO Foundation Gala 2008, “An Evening of Style & Substance” is being held on Saturday, June 21, 2008. The Gala begins at 6:00 pm., and the concert introducing Ledisi begins at 9:15 pm.
Where are the 2008 N’DIGO Foundation Gala, and the Awards Program and Concert with Ledisi being held?

The Civic Opera House is a hybrid of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles and is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful. Build in 1929 and recently restored to its original splendor, it not only boasts gracious surroundings, but excellent sight lines and premium acoustics.
Who is in concert?
The N’DIGO Foundation is introducing Ledisi in concert. Mix the energy of Tina Turner with the chops of Ella Fitzgerald, fill the songs with emotion and sincerity, and you get the sensational Ledisi.
Ledisi, recently Grammy-nominated for “Best New Artist of 2007,” has sold out venues both nationally and internationally to rave reviews.
Is parking available near the Civic Opera House?
Yes! A special discounted parking rate of $16.00 has been arranged at two locations for patrons attending the N’DIGO Foundation Gala. Gala patrons will receive a discount parking coupon with their paid ticket reservations.
How much do tickets to the N’DIGO Foundation Gala cost?
Black-tie Gala tickets are $350.00 per person that includes the VIP grande buffet reception, scholarship and trailblazer awards program, the concert featuring Ledisi, and the VIP post-celebration.
Can I purchase tickets to the Scholarship/Awards Program and Concert ONLY?
Yes. You may purchase tickets to the N’DIGO Foundation Awards Program and Concert featuring Ledisi for $75.00 per person exclusively at the N’DIGO Foundation Ticket Center.
Where can I purchase tickets?
N’DIGO Foundation Gala tickets, and tickets to the Awards Program/Concert Only, are available exclusively through the N’DIGO Foundation Ticket Center.

The N’DIGO Foundation Ticket Center accepts money orders, certified checks, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Checks and money orders must be made payable to: The N’DIGO Foundation.
The N’DIGO Foundation Ticket Center is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. On-street parking is available immediately in front of the office.
Tickets will be mailed upon receipt of paid reservations. Tickets purchased on-line or through the mail after June 13, 2008 will be held at the N’DIGO Gala Ticket Desk at the Civic Opera House on Saturday, June 21, 2008.

Is there a way that I might support the N’DIGO Foundation scholarship program even if I am unable to attend this year’s Gala or concert featuring Ledisi?

Does the N’DIGO Foundation Gala have a dress code?
Black-tie dress attire (tuxedo, formal wear) is traditionally worn by N’DIGO Foundation Gala patrons.
What should I wear to the Scholarship/Awards Program & Concert?
Awards program/concert patrons traditionally wear casual chic attire.
Can I take pictures or tape-record the Gala concert performance?
No. The use of cameras, cellular phones, and any kind of recording equipment in the Civic Opera House is strictly prohibited.
Are there special facilities available for patrons with disabilities?
The Civic Opera house is accessible to physically disabled persons, with elevator service to all floors except the Opera Club; seating that is accessible to persons in wheel chairs, as well as seats with removable armrests, and accessible drinking fountains and public telephones. If you require special accessible facilities, please indicate your requirements when purchasing tickets.
Are there concession areas at the N’DIGO Foundation Gala concert?
The N’DIGO Foundation Gala, Awards Program/Concert is a private event and no Civic Opera House concessions will be available.
